About Ready4Living

More than care – real-life companionship, every week.

Ready4Living is not a care agency. We are a trusted companionship service that brings a familiar, friendly presence into a young adult’s week. Our companions take time to really know each person – their interests, routines, and quirks – so support feels natural, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable rather than clinical or formal.

We started Ready4Living after seeing how many young adults felt caught between needing a bit of help and not wanting to be “looked after.” Families told us they wanted someone reliable and kind who could slot into everyday life – a steady face who encourages confidence, listens without judgement, and makes ordinary days feel easier and brighter. That’s the gap we exist to fill.

Our approach is simple: we focus on real connection and practical, down‑to‑earth support. That might mean travelling to college together, planning the week, practising life skills, or just sharing a coffee and a chat after a long day. We work alongside young adults, not over them, always at their pace, so they can build independence while feeling safe, understood, and respected.

  • Respect: We listen first and always treat young adults as the experts in their own lives.
  • Independence: We gently encourage doing more for themselves, with support only where it’s truly needed.
  • Consistency: The same familiar faces, regular visits, and predictable routines build trust and confidence.
  • Fun: Laughter, shared interests, and everyday adventures are at the heart of what we do.
  • Reliability: Families can count on us to show up, keep our word, and communicate clearly.
